Com Chien Voi (Vietnamese Fried Rice)

This classic recipe for Com Chien Voi, or Vietnamese-style fried rice, uses seafood. Such as shrimp, squid and fish meat. But because I rarely stock seafood at home, I replaced it with sausage/smoked beef, which I usually have at home. This can be an option for fried rice fans. Usually I use soy sauce, this one without soy sauce. Make it easy, fast and delicious!


Incidentally, I don't have frozen vegetables in stock, so I use red peppers and corn that have been boiled for a while. Red peppers are a substitute for carrots. I feel like I have carrots but I'm not looking for them in the fridge hehe. The corn is peeled first, yes. Boil briefly, in boiling water 2 minutes is enough.

Ingredients

 2 servings

a plate full of white rice

1 egg, beaten

smoked beef/sausage, cut into pieces, or seafood

frozen vegetables/make yourself: corn, carrots, peas

to taste red pepper, sy as a substitute for carrots

1 green chili, sy as a substitute for peas

1/2 spring onion, sliced ​​2

enough onions

1/2 clove of garlic

pinch of salt

a pinch of sugar

pinch of pepper powder

1/2 tsp oyster sauce

1/2 tsp sesame oil

complement:

prawn crackers

fried onions

Step

If you use frozen vegetables, you can cook them right away. Rinse with water first.

Saute onions until fragrant. Add eggs, cook until cooked.

Add vegetables, and sausage/smooked beef, cook until the meat changes color.

Add white rice and season.

Taste test, adjust to taste.

Serve warm.

Because I use red peppers, I add the paprika just before turning off the fire. Let's not wither.
